- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1-1/2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. baking powder
- 1 12 oz. beer your choice, room temperature
- 4 tbsp. butter 1/2 stick melted
Preheat oven to 350° F. Prepare a 9x5 loaf pan with no stick spray. Whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a large mixing bowl.
Slowly add the beer to the flour mixture and stir until it is just mixed in. You don't want to over mix.
Pour half the melted butter into the prepared loaf pan. Spread the bread batter over the butter and then pour the rest of the butter over the top.
Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until a tooth pick test comes out clean. Let the loaf cool for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.
If you use self rising flour for this recipe you should eliminate the baking powder and salt.
