Cake Mix Chocolate Pecan Cookies

It does't get any easier. Five or six ingredients and delicious cookies in less than 30 minutes.

  • 1- 15.25 oz. cake mix like chocolate devil's food
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips dark or white
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans


  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease or line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Whisk the cake mix and baking soda together in a large bowl.

  2. In a second bowl beat the eggs together with the canola oil.

  3. Add the egg mixture to the cake mix and stir until well blended. Then mix in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.

  4. Drop the cookie dough by 1 tbsp. balls onto the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.

  5. Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove cookies from the oven, let cool for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to finish cooling.
