Oatmeal Raisin Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 3/4 cup butter softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar granulated
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 cup rolled oats uncooked
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 12 oz. package semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup raisins plumped in hot water if too dry


  1. Using an electric mixer on med. beat butter and sugars until creamy. Add vanilla and eggs, continue beating until blended.
  2. In a second bowl combine the flour, soda, oats and salt. Now gradually add this to the butter mixture and stir in the chocolate and raisins.
  3. Using a 2 tbsp. scoop drop onto a lightly greased cookie sheet (or parchment paper as shown). Bake in 350 degree preheated oven for 8 to 14 minutes depending on how much doneness you prefer.
