These pork chops are a family favorite!
Breaded Pork Chops
- 1 lb. thin sliced loin pork chops boneless
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup plain bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. salt kosher
- 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Preheat oven to 275°. We will be finishing the chops in the oven.
Mix the breadcrumbs together with the salt, poultry seasoning and garlic powder in a small bowl. Pour the mixture onto a sheet of waxed paper. Pour the flour onto the other half of the waxed paper.
Dredge 1 pork chop in the flour (both sides) shake off excess and dip the chop in the beaten eggs. Move the chop to the bread crumb mixture and with the back of a fork gently press the crumbs into the meat. Repeat for remaining chops.
Pan fry the pork chops over medium heat for 1 minute on each side and move them to a cookie sheet. Place the chops in the preheated oven, bake for 20 minutes.
If you like a little sweeter taste, serve these pork chops up with a dollop of apple sauce.
Did you know: The phrase "living high on the hog" originated among army enlisted men referring to the top loin cuts officers received, while the enlisted got shoulder and leg cuts. Looks like we're all going to the officers club for dinner.
