- 1/2 cup lime juice
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1/2 tbsp. Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 2 1/2 lbs. pork loin chops 6 chops about 3/4 inch thick
In a medium sized mixing bowl whisk all the ingredients together except the pork chops.
Place the pork chops in a 1 gal. freezer bag or a non metal container. Pour the marinade over the chops, seal the bag and refrigerate for a minimum of 8 hours or overnight. Turn the bag several times during the marinade time to make sure all the chops are marinaded evenly.
When the pork chops have finished marinating preheat grill to medium high heat. Grill the chops for approximately 8 minutes per side or until internal temperature is 145° F. Remove from heat and let them rest for a minute before serving.
These pork chops pair nicely with red potatoes in foil and a green vegetable.
Did you know: Tequila is closer to lilies than cactus. Many believe Tequila is made from cactus, but the Agave plant is actually in the lily family not cactus. As always you can thank me later for this useless bit of trivia.
