No impasta here, this is the real deal!
- 8 oz. fettuccine noodle uncooked
- 4 oz. butter 1/2 stick
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (whipping cream)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. fresh ground pepper
- 3 tbsp, chopped fresh parsley
Cook the fettuccine noodle in a large pot per package instructions.
While the noodle is cooking heat butter and heavy cream along with 1/2 the parsley in a 12 inch skillet over low heat stirring constantly.
Once butter has melted stir in the salt, pepper and grated Parmesan. Heat until the mixture begins to thicken, about a minute.
Drain the fettuccine and add it to the pan. Toss until the noodle is evenly coated. Serve immediately topped with the remaining chopped parsley.
