Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Great way to perk up those mashed potatoes!

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Servings 2 servings


  • 2 medium potatoes quartered Yukon golds work well
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 large clove garlic chopped finely
  • 2 tbsp. milk
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. chopped parsley


  1. Place potatoes in a 2 qt. pot, fill with water so that potatoes are covered and add the salt and chopped garlic.  Boil for 10 minutes or until the potatoes are fork tender.

  2. Drain off the water, add milk and mash.  Top with butter and parsley and you're ready to serve the perfect side dish to compliment many a meal.

Did you know:  America grows 30 billion pounds of potatoes each year.  Most (35%) end up as frozen french fries, 28% is used as fresh potatoes and 13% become chips and shoe strings.  I wonder what % become garlic mashed potatoes.
