A very easy Cranberry Sauce to make for that Holiday Turkey.
Homemade Cranberry Sauce
- 6 oz. dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup marsala wine
- 1/2 cup orange juice the less pulp the better
Begin by putting the cranberries in a medium sauce pan and warming them over low heat for about 3 minutes.
Gradually stir in the brown sugar until the cranberries are well coated.
Next stir in the marsala wine followed by the orange juice. Turn the heat up to a boil and cook for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Let it cool for a few minutes and then spoon the cranberry sauce into a bowl and refrigerate for at least a half hour before serving. Just add turkey and enjoy.
Did you know: The Cranberry is one of just three fruits that are native to North America. The others are the Concord Grape and the Blueberry.
