Ground Beef Tacos
Forget about Taco Tuesdays, it's tacos any day with this great tasting D.I.Y. taco seasoning.
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- pinch cayenne pepper optional
- 1 tbsp. olive or vegetable oil
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 medium sized onion diced
- 1/4 cup water
- toppings: diced tomato, shred lettuce, shred Mexican blend cheese, sour cream.
Place all the spices in a small bowl and stir until well blended. Set aside.
Heat the oil in a large skillet, add the ground beef and diced onion. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until all the pink is gone and ground beef is crumbled. Drain off excess fat.
Add the water to the ground beef, stir in the seasoning, and simmer for about 4 minutes or until most of the water is absorbed.
Spread 1/4 cup of taco filling on each soft taco, top with your favorite toppings, roll them up and enjoy.
